ASX-listed Prairie Limited has begun installing foundation piles and grade beams at its flagship Pad #1 site at its namesake project in Saskatchewan, Canada.

The company reported on Wednesday that construction crews were on-site installing piles and reinforced concrete grade beams that would form the base of the processing facility.

The foundation system incorporates deep-driven piles designed to provide stable support in local soil conditions, combined with reinforced concrete grade beams to distribute loads and create a robust platform for heavy processing equipment and associated infrastructure.

Prairie Lithium noted that the engineered design was aimed at ensuring long-term structural integrity for commercial-scale lithium production.

The milestone follows completion of site preparation, geotechnical analysis, permitting activities and installation of power infrastructure at the project.

In parallel with on-site foundation works, prefabricated structural building panels are being manufactured off-site. The company said concurrent manufacturing of the structural wall panels and foundation construction is expected to significantly compress the overall construction timeline.
